I DO play old games, I don't just buy a game and them move on from it and pretend like it never existed. I play games like team fortress 2, a 16 year old multiplayer shooter that still works offline, I can host lan games, or play with bots, or connect to community servers when valve shuts down support one day. I should be allowed to play the game without authenticating permission from a server. I've been playing a lot of borderlands recently, Borderlands 2 came out in 2012, 11 years ago! But guess what that game has crossplay, is on the unreal engine, and yet still respects that I own the game and lets me play offline. I DO play games that I first played 10+ years ago. There's a LOT of reasons to hate online only, it's not just "well sometimes my internet goes down" which is still a big reason to avoid buying a game like this. eventually we move on from the game and move to the next no big deal

how long will you play offline for with bots ? yeah thought so. are you really gonna play this game after 10+ years even if they add a offline mode. Ps : when your about to say ( well eventually in the future after years you will never be able to play this game anymore when its shut down I MEAN WTF your making posts ON THE INTERNET as we speak I litterly do not understand like i said above why this is a problem becaus we all basicly have internet.

I think the only time people complain about * always online * are basicly the people who wanna mod there games with DLC or more and get away with it in there offline mode. if you live in a country with games and pcs and your able to affort all that. i mean its like phones we basicly ( 99% of the human race ) got a phone by now. Not only now it'll cause a negative outrage, they will be also accused of hiding this information from players, and it'll steamroll to a point that it'll hurt both the reputation and development process of a game that's still not released yet. and also, they should have mentioned this in platforms dev diary instead of casually dropping it off on a stream that one of the employees play the current title. i believe that so players should have liberty to play their games without an internet connection and this is a major step-back from PAYDAY 2.ĭevelopers should take a little bit more time to implement a fully fledged offline mod to the game, it's concerning that a game that you pay to play is locking itself behind an internet connection, and i truly believe this is a wrong direction that they have aiming to.Īnd also, even if it's by a small chance (but still possible) when they stop supporting the game in future, we're basically stripped down from the game that we've paid for.

because it's an easily missable thing about very, very important announcement.
